The dates for 2019 Wake events are as follows: 

1st May  –  Mayday celebrations around the maypole

2th June    –   Wake  Picnic and Fun Day 

At the recreation ground and village hall. Please bring your own food and drink.

2:30pm Art Competition Theme ‘Your Favourite Character’ art on display.  Presentation of the prizes at 2:45pm in the village hall.

3:00pm Traditional Wake Races For children aged up to 14. Maypole medals for the winners and tuck bags for all competitors. Followed by:  Offenham One Mile Race and Tug of War.

4th June –  Kwik Cricket softball tournament

A family event organised by Offengam Cricket Club, registration 6pm, start 6.30pm ending at 8.30 – 9pm latest. 8 teams max of 6 players.

6th June   –   Rounders Tournament 7pm

This is a fun event for adults and children.  Teams of 9 players aged 10 years or over must include at least 3 girls. Entries from 6:30pm until 6:45pm. The tournament will start promptly at 7pm. 

8th June   –   Wake Day

1:30pm Flower Service The children are invited to bring posies to the church which will be taken to Cedar Lodge.

2:00pm Procession to the Maypole With our Wake Queen and her attendants. 

2:15pm Opening of the Traditional Street Fair Fun for all with traditional stalls including local crafters, Creole Serenaders Jazz Band, licenced bar, teas and barbecue.

3:00pm Maypole Dancing with the village children. 

4:00pm Offenham Ladies Maypole Dancers.                       

4:30pm Grand Raffle draw.

9th June   

3:00pm Treasure Hunt  from the village hall car park to the Bridge Inn where you can enjoy refreshments and a barbeque.

4:30pm Bell Boat Regatta This is being organised at the Bridge Inn by Fladbury Kayak Club. Teams of up to 8, aged 8 years and over.

7:00pm The Great Wake Drake Race At the Bridge Inn after the treasure hunt. Drakes can be bought from the Village Shop, the Bridge Inn or members of the committee.

22rd December  –  Carols around the Maypole
